SEe If You Qualify!
In order to get an Obamacare Plan, you must sign up during Open Enrollment. If you missed Open Enrollment, you can still get an Obamacare plan during Special Enrollment. You qualify for Special Enrollment if you, or someone in your household, recently experienced certain life events -- such as loss of health coverage, changing jobs, getting married/divorced, having a child, or moving, to name a few.
-
If you gain a dependent or become a dependent as a result of a birth or adoption, you’re eligible for a special enrollment period.
-
If you get married, you have the opportunity to add your spouse to your plan, or shop for a new plan
Death or divorce/separation that results in a loss of coverage will allow a special enrollment period.
-
Involuntary loss of coverage is a qualifying event that triggers a special enrollment period. The coverage you’re losing has to be considered minimum essential coverage.
-
A permanent move to a new area will generally trigger a special enrollment period for people who already had coverage prior to their move. As long as there are different health insurance plans (QHPs) available in the new area, the special enrollment period will apply.

Our agent can walk you through what qualifies and what does not
What is the Affordable Care Act?
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as "Obamacare", has helped millions of people get health care coverage. Before the ACA, health insurance was unaffordable and unavailable for many.
Now, with Obamacare, if you meet certain qualifications, the government will help pay for your monthly premiums and out-of-pocket cost. And for those who have preexisting medical conditions, you can no longer be denied coverage under Obamacare.
